Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Gardena Residents Directory. By using the reference, you agree to the rules below. If you do not accept them, please stop using the pages and linked tools.

1. What This Reference Is

Gardena Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical directory collections connected with Gardena, California. It does not host government files and has no affiliation with Gardena, Los Angeles County, California agencies, courts, libraries, or records custodians.

2. Rules for Using the Pages

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You must not use it, or anything returned by a linked tool, to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm someone
  • Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another offense
  • Make an FCRA-regulated decision about credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or another covered matter
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the pages at scale
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the reference

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency as that term is defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Material here, and any output from a linked search tool, is not a consumer report. It may not be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.

4. Links to Other Services

County and state portals, court systems, libraries, archives, and sponsored search providers operate under their own terms. Gardena Residents Directory does not control their content, availability, prices, results, or data practices.

5. No Warranties

The reference is supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that a page, fact, fee, coverage year, link, or external portal is accurate, complete, current, or available.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource, including a decision based on a record found through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Original Material

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a brief excerpt with attribution is welcome. Republishing a full page or systematically copying content is not permitted.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after an update means that you accept the revised text.

10. Access Restrictions

The operators may block or limit a user who violates these terms, abuses the reference, attacks its security, or uses it for prohibited conduct. That action may occur without advance notice.

11. California Law

These terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following, governs many requests to state and local custodians; it does not turn this private reference into a custodian. California's Consumer Privacy Act and Consumer Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code sections 1798.100 and following, apply where their coverage and exemptions require.

12. Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the extent required, and the remaining terms will continue in effect.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a government record should go to the custodian named on the relevant directory page.
