Information You Submit
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into search forms are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Gardena Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message contains whatever details you choose to provide and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service records ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps keep the pages available and shows which references are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How That Information Is Used
The limited data is used to operate the reference, troubleshoot errors, measure traffic, and improve content. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual user profiles from the site.
External Websites
The pages link to Los Angeles County portals, California agencies, court searches, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Their own privacy policies control what is submitted there. That includes the third-party results provider behind the lookup boxes.
Who Receives Technical Data
Hosting and support vendors process server logs on behalf of the reference. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. A disclosure can also be made when valid legal process requires it; otherwise, no visitor list is sold or shared as a resident directory.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only while they serve the operating and measurement purposes stated here. There are no accounts, passwords, or user profiles on the reference for an attacker to obtain.
People Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information, contact the operators so it can be reviewed and deleted.
Your California Data Rights
California's Consumer Privacy Act and Consumer Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code sections 1798.100 and following, give covered-business consumers rights to know, delete, correct, limit sensitive-information use, and opt out of sale or sharing, subject to exemptions. Because this reference keeps little information, a request generally means searching the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then removing what is found when the law requires it. Use the Contact page to ask.
Those rights do not let the operators delete a truthful deed, court file, voter record, vital record, or assessment record held by a California, Los Angeles County, or Gardena custodian. Requests about a government record belong with the office that created or keeps it. The California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following, governs access to many existing state and local records; it does not make this private reference the custodian.
Policy Changes
When this policy changes, the current version will be posted here. Continuing to use the reference after an update indicates acceptance of the revised text.
